Rob Riggle is a successful working actor/comedian with many notable credits and experience in the entertainment industry.
He has worked as a featured player on Saturday Night Live, as a reporter on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, and held many supporting and starring roles in television shows and successful box office films. Some of his many notable credits include: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, The Hangover, The Other Guys, Larry Crowne, and 21 Jump Street.
He is also a talented voice over artist providing the voice behind several characters on the television show American Dad! and was the voice of Mr.O’Hare in the animated film Dr. Seuess’ The Lorax. Rob is a regular performer on the widely popular website FunnyOrDie.com
Recently, Rob was selected to be the host of the 2012 ESPN ESPY awards show.
Rob has a B.A. in Theater and Film from the University of Kansas, spent 7 years studying, teaching, and performing at New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade.
Rob Riggle joined the Marine Corps in 1990 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1992. He served on active duty until the year 2000 and immediately joined the Marine Corps Reserves where he is currently serving as a Lieutenant Colonel. He has served in Liberia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan (2 tours) and has been awarded a combat action ribbon.
Rob finds time in his busy schedule to support veteran organizations and meets with wounded warriors. Because of his vast experience in the film and television industry, while also serving in the military, Rob is a perfect keynote speaker for Veterans in Film & Television and we are honored to have him join us on April 30th.
