VFT:LA 04/2017 Guest Series event w/ Graham Yost, Producer
This is your official invitation to the VFTLA April 5, 2017 Event with guest speaker, Graham Yost.
Graham John Yost (born September 5, 1959) is a Canadian film and television screenwriter. His best-known works are the films Speed, Broken Arrow, and Hard Rain and the TV series Justified. In 2002, he created the widely acclaimed, yet short-lived drama series Boomtown.
He has also written for the television series Herman's Head and Band of Brothers. He also created the short-lived NBC drama Raines. Yost teamed up with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, along with two of his fellow Boomtown writers Michelle Ashford and Larry Andries, to write and direct episodes of the HBO miniseries The Pacific. Yost is the creator and executive producer of the FX series Justified, and an executive producer on the FX show The Americans.
Born in Etobicoke, he graduated from the University of Toronto Schools and Trinity College at the University of Toronto. He is the son of Canadian television personality Elwy Yost, the longtime host of the public broadcaster TVOntario's Saturday Night at the Movies. He lives in California with his family.

Please bring either a printed copy of your receipt or display the confirmation email on your smart phone to our registration volunteers.
NEW VFT MEMBER ORIENTATION:
Starting at 6:00 pm, there will be a New Member Orientation that will take place before the main event. This orientation will provide a history of the organization, programs, and expectations of members. You will be able to speak to our Social Media Team to answer any questions about your VFT Profile and show you how to sign up for email and social media updates. VFT will also provide information about the American Legion Post 43, a great partner organization to VFT.

-PITCH FEST: Need help with a project? Each meeting VFT conducts a "Pitch Fest" in which a handful of members stand and announce a project for which they are seeking assistance and/or collaboration from other VFT members. -SHOWCASE: Want to exhibit your recent work? Each meeting VFT conducts as "Showcase" in which select members are allowed to exhibit a video to the group.
