Cocktails and Camouflage: A Veterans Day Comedy Show!

Connolly is proud to present the 5th Annual Veterans Day Benefit Comedy Show, "Cocktails & Camouflage" Thursday November 06 at Flappers Comedy Club, featuring some of the funniest comedians in Southern California. This year the event will raise funds for Veterans in Film & Television! VFT is a 501c3 non profit, networking, and educational organization that unites current and former members of the military working in the film and television industry. VFT also provides a means for the community and entertainment industry to connect with and hire veterans, as well as create an awareness of veterans working within the industry.

Plus there will be a special screening of the trailer for “Where Heaven and Hell Collide” due in theaters Memorial Day 2016. Produced by and starring Kristy Swanson “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”  and directed by Greg Robbins. It is the story of how Jim Peters and his company – T-shirts 4 Troops – have helped 11,000 combat troops. Heroic men and women who have lost limbs, sight, hearing and are left emotionally scarred from the battlefield. In this feature-length film we find Jim; on his first day at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he visits troopers that narrowly avoided death in combat. Jim nurtures and encourages them to live life when most have given up hope and only wish they had  died from their wounds. Jim does it armed with nothing but a Marvel Comic Super Hero t-shirt, love of his fellow man and courage! The film also stars four wounded warriors playing themselves. 

Where Heaven & Hell Collide examines the struggles, heroics and lives of four different combat soldiers through Jims dialogue with his counselor.
