Veterans in Film and Television is so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, as VFT was one of the many non-profits in attendance at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel last night, as HFPA handed out $2.8 million in scholarships and grants to entertainment nonprofits.

The grant, written by
Karen Kraft and Jackie Perez, helps VFT to continue to offer classes, events, roundtables, guest series, and internship opportunities to military veterans working in film, television, media, music, and entertainment.

Chelsea Handler hosted the event at which the organization of foreign journalists, which also presents the annual Golden Globe Awards, unveiled its charitable donations for the year.  Presenters included Chelsea Handler, director Ava DuVernay; Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette of 13 Reasons Why; Armie Hammer; Matt Bomer; Elisabeth Moss; Chrissy Metz; Anthony Mackie; Aja Naomi King; Patrick Stewart; Stan Lee, accompanied by Chadwick Boseman, who's starring in Marvel's upcoming Black Panther; Kumail Nanjiani; Kathryn Hahn; Alison Brie; Bob Odenkirk; and Mark Hamill.
